Romantic Road, Germany
If you are looking for a “pure” German cultural experience and amazing scenery, you can’t avoid Romantic Road.
The Romantic Road, Romantishe Strasse in German, is a term that was artificially coined and promoted by the German travel industry in the 50s. The “theme route” is approximately 350 kilometers long, and spans between cities of Würzburg and Füssen in southern Germany, covering mostly regions of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. The city of Füssen, the end of the Romantic Road, is located right on the border with Austria.
